D Ware did it at the first game and last year various guys stood there and shouted and screamed as the team got fired up.

Why not introduce a "Haka" for the team from the sidelines just prior to kickoff?

I would never advocate disrespect for the Maori culture.(or any other).

That's a call each individual or organization has to make.

I think "scary" is the wrong word to use, though, when considering home field advantage.
